There really isn’t a whole lot to them! They’ve just been ‘a thing’ of mine for years now.
The first inklings of the design came while I was writing the early draft of the comic BRINK back in late 97/98ish. This the earliest drawing I still have, it was pinned to the wall of my dorm.
-The ones I design tend to have ‘funny shaped’ skulls, because the original Skulldog was based on the Bull Terrier, which has an egg shaped head as part of the breed standard.
-My blue iconic Skulldog is not the same as Zero from the comic. They diverged when I restarted the comic in 06, originally they looked the same.
-The main idea of Skulldogs is to show them as protectors, guardians, or dispensers of knowledge. They tend to have a particular thing they look out for.

Thanks for all the questions! Anyone coming in late, I know it’s not Wednesday, but feel free to drop more in my ask box.
I have to roll around and take forever to form a better response than ‘THANKS’ for these sort of asks.
So I’ll start with a thanks! Then say, I’m really honored that my stuff is that awesome to you!
I had an awesome Christmas here. Drank a ton, ate the worst food, and played video games all day. :)
